The “Fun” within the fundamentals of shooting

- $95 per student, price includes ammo and firearms use
- $300 for a family of four with two children under the age of 18
This class is for anyone who is interested in learning about firearms safety, handling and marksmanship.
This curriculum will also appeal to firearms owners who would like to try, and gain a basic understanding of other types of firearms.
The ultimate goal of this class is to be safe, have fun, while learning the sport of recreational shooting. Classes may run longer due to the vast quantity of material to cover.
Class sizes are typically kept small (4-6 students). This allows for a more comfortable learning environment and time with individual students. This is an excellent class for families and civic groups to train in a private environment. Larger classes are available if booked as a group such as two families of four, or a work group.
Goals –
- Students will understand the basics of firearms safety handling and manipulation that apply to several different styles of firearms.
- Students will gain a basic understanding of the function of different weapon platforms and systems.
- Students will gain knowledge of ammunition and be able to recognize different calibers and types, along with the related weapon platforms.
- Students will learn to load and unload any weapon platforms they would like to manipulate (not required).
- Students will learn basic Marksmanship fundamentals related to different weapon platforms.
- Students will be allowed the opportunity to fire (not required) any available weapon platforms they are interested in. Please contact us prior to class for availability of specific firearms you are interested in trying.
- This class will exceed Washington state HB1143 (required to purchase a firearm) and a certificate will be emailed to each student after class.

Prerequisites –
- A good attitude, open mind and willingness to learn.
- The ability to stand, sit and kneel unassisted (wheelchairs may be acceptable depending on range terrain).
- The ability to understand, pay attention to and follow basic instructions in English.
Required equipment –
- Appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear based on the terrain and current climate (Classes are conducted rain or shine).
- Baseball style hat.
- No weapon systems or ammunition are required or allowed, they will be provided as a part of the course.
- Safety or prescription glasses and ear protection. Ear protection and safety glasses will be provided for those who do not own them
- Students under the age of 18 are required to be escorted by a parent, who must be registered as a paid student.
